Who we are
Phoneware Limited trading as Inakalum (“Inakalum”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides websites, applications and services, including the public Coverage Checker map (together, the “Services”). Contact: info@inakalum.com.
Scope
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our Services, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to inakalum.com and any Coverage Checker pages we host or embed.
Data we collect
- Identifiers & usage: IP address, device/browser type, OS, timestamps, pages viewed, referral URLs, cookie IDs.
- Geolocation (Coverage Checker): if you allow your browser to share location, we receive approximate or precise location to centre the map and show nearby results. You can deny or revoke this permission in your browser/OS at any time.
- Search & interaction data (Coverage Checker): queries, panning/zooming, layers you view, and telemetry for performance and reliability.
- Contact details you provide: name, email, organisation and message content when you contact us or request access.
- Aggregated measurement data: radio measurements gathered by our equipment and partners; published only in aggregated/de‑identified form and not personal data.
Cookies & similar technologies
We use essential cookies required for site operation and Google Analytics (GA4) cookies to understand usage and improve the Coverage Checker. GA runs only with your consent where required. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking essentials may impact functionality.
Essential cookies operate the site (session, security, load‑balancing). Google Analytics helps us measure usage; IPs are anonymised in GA configuration.
How we use your data
- Provide, operate and improve the Services, including troubleshooting and performance measurement.
- Secure the Services, prevent abuse (e.g., scraping), and enforce terms.
- Respond to enquiries and provide updates you request.
- Create aggregated, non‑identifying statistics and reports.
Legal bases
- Consent for browser geolocation and optional analytics (Google Analytics).
- Legitimate interests to operate, secure and improve our Services.
- Contract where you or your organisation purchase services from us.
Sharing
We don’t sell personal data. We share limited data with service providers (hosting, security, analytics—Google Analytics, mapping/tiles/geocoding) under contract, with public authorities where required by law, and with a successor in a business transfer subject to similar protections.
International transfers
Where processing occurs outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., UK IDTA/EU SCCs or adequacy decisions).
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and then delete or anonymise it. Aggregated measurement datasets may be retained and published without personal identifiers.
Your rights
Subject to law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. You can withdraw consent (e.g., location or analytics) at any time. Contact info@inakalum.com. You can complain to the UK ICO.
Children
Our Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data; no method is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the effective date at the top. Material changes will be signposted with reasonable notice.
